My mirrorless camera of choice – small and lightweight for travel, good enough for my budget and high quality!
✅ Sony – FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS Standard Zoom Lens
This is the lens of choice for me for the Sony Alpha Mirrorless, because a standard zoom is the best if you’re going to have just one, or as a staple lens!
✅ Canon 6D (DSLR)
This is the camera I currently own and use. It has wifi connectivity, is a full-frame camera and does an overall fabulous job.
✅ Canon EF 16-35mm Wide-Angle Zoom Lens
This is my current lens, which I chose because I absolutely love taking wide-angle photos, but I also don’t want to sacrifice zoom capability. This would be great to add to a set with a standard zoom lens, too.
Tip: Adorama is one of my favorite places to find used cameras and gear for less!

This amazing tripod works with both cameras and smartphones, plus doubles as a selfie stick, monopod and as trekking poles! It’s made with durable and lightweight (2.8 lbs.) aluminum alloy, and it’s super affordable.
✅ Peak Design Hiking Camera Clip
This is my favorite way for carrying a camera while hiking & backpacking (it’s better than a traditional strap)!
✅ Filters
Filters, including UV & Circular Polarizers, help you get better photos, especially of water reflections and the bottom of clear water. Just make sure to get the right size to fit your lens!
✅ Remote Shutter (this one works with Canon cameras)
A remote shutter helps you take long-exposure photos at night and sunrise/sunset.
✅ Memory Card (for DSLR/Mirrorless Cameras)
SanDisk Extreme Pro memory cards are a must. They prevent many issues with photography and video that happen with lower quality memory cards.

✅ Memory Card Reader
A memory card reader is necessary when your camera doesn’t transfer photos without it, and for when you choose to transfer them this way – a lot of newer computers don’t have USB ports or memory card readers (mine doesn’t and I use one of these)!
