7. The Dallas World Aquarium
The Dallas World Aquarium provides an opportunity for photos of the wildlife, as well as making a great Instagram spot in downtown Dallas! There are three levels with various types of animals like birds, sloths, plus Tamarin and Saki monkeys; manatees; lizards, snakes and leaf-nosed bats; stingrays, giant groupers and much, much more!
You can also find three on-site restaurants, parking and a bookstore/gift shop.
Tip: There’s more than one aquarium in Dallas, so check to make sure you’re headed to the right one! Also always check the hours. The Dallas World Aquarium is open daily (except Thanksgiving & Christmas) opening at 8:30 a.m.
8. Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art includes free general admission, and is fabulous for photos and photoshoots, plus events and more! The museum is one of the largest art museums in the US, with 159,000 sq ft of exhibition spaces, a library, education programs, event spaces, and a collection of over 24,000 pieces from the 3rd millennium BCE to modern times.

Dealey Plaza is also called “The Front Door of Dallas”, and is significant as the birthplace of the city. It was founded by John Neely Bryan in the 1840s, and became a place of pride for Dallas.
Everything changed in November of 1963, when President Kennedy was assassinated in the plaza. Today, it’s the site of a memorial and a National Historic Landmark District.

Pioneer Plaza is a public park in the Convention Center District that’s one of the most visited tourist attractions in downtown Dallas. The major attraction is the bronze steers and trail rider sculptures created by artist Robert Summers, making the largest bronze monument of its kind on earth.
The landscaping that includes a stream and waterfall makes a great outdoor photoshoot location.
17. Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas

Dallas City Hall was completed in 1978 and replaced previous city hall buildings. It’s a great spot for architectural photoshoots, outdoor photos and more.
The building is an inverted pyramid, making it especially interesting for artistic and geometric photography, as well as representing the city of Dallas – see this quote from the architect:

John Neely Bryan Cabin is a historic log cabin replica (rebuilt the 1930s) of the first house in Dallas. You can’t go inside because the door is locked, but it’s fun to get a photo of or to use for a free outdoor photoshoot location!

Klyde Warren Park is a giant park in downtown Dallas for free outdoor photoshoots of all kinds!

24. Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden
The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is a 66-acre garden located right beside White Rock Lake and has won awards, and is one of the most visited places in Dallas (Martha Stewart called it one of the most beautiful as well).

The Wilson Block historic district is a 22-acre Dallas neighborhood with Victorian-era houses mixed with modern, yet compatible structures. It’s a City of Dallas Landmark District and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is one of the best places to get photos of the Dallas skyline, plus the architecture of the bridge is photo-worthy in and of itself! It’s simply an icon in Dallas, designed by Santiago Calatrava, an internationally recognized architect and engineer.
The defining feature of this stark white bridge is the 400-ft center arch with cables in a lyrical layout.
